About · Bahare Ghonche

Photography is a never-ending journey — a way of telling stories through the lens of my camera.

I've been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. It has always been my biggest dream to become a photographer, and to chase it I studied a comprehensive three-year photography program that taught me a great deal about art and telling stories through images.

After graduation I kept going, working on personal projects, each its own small adventure. Originally from Iran and now based in the Netherlands, my work traces memory, home and the lives of women, from the vanishing darkrooms of old Tehran to the rooms of my grandmother's house.

Even now, after all these years, I'm still passionate about photography. It's a never-ending journey for me.
